Installation of our apps can be done quickly through your Bitbucket instance. You must have administrator access to your Bitbucket instance to install an app through the Atlassian Marketplace for Bitbucket page.

  1. Log into your Bitbucket instance as an administrator.

  2. Click the Administration gear icon on any Bitbucket page to open the Administration page.

  3. Click Find New Apps, located under the ADD-ONS heading. The Atlassian Marketplace for Bitbucket page opens.

  4. Enter the name of the app in the Search the Marketplace field. Select the app from the search results.

  5. Click Free trial to begin a new trial, or Buy now to purchase a license for Snippets for Bitbucket.

  6. To install the free trial:

    1. Click Free trial.

    2. Click Accept & Install when the Confirm app installation window opens.

    3. Once the app is installed and the Free trial window opens, click Get license to continue to the MyAtlassian licensing page. Enter your information, agree to the Terms of use, and click Generate license.

    4. Click Apply license. If you're using an older version of UPM, copy and paste the license into your Bitbucket instance.

  7. To purchase the App:

    1. Click Buy now.

    2. Select Data Center from the deployment options. As of February 2021, server licenses are no longer available.

    3. Expand Search, Choose, or Manual depending on the method you want for acquiring and using a license. Follow the directions provided for each option.

Use the latest version of Snippets for Bitbucket whenever possible. This ensures you have the latest security features and patches.
